The South Dakota Board of Regents on Friday approved a master's degree in business awarded through Black Hills State University starting in fall 2010.

The MBA in applied management will be offered at the University Center-Black Hills in Rapid City. The program will target mid- to upper-level business professionals and offer part-time classes on evenings and weekends to accommodate work schedules.

The degree will incorporate the best practices across the related disciplines of law, accounting, human resource management, small business management/entrepreneurship, international business, finance, marketing and information technology, according to a school news release.
