Two Florida men have been sentenced to probation and fines for selling jewelry and other souvenirs bearing a counterfeit Harley-Davidson emblem.
Stephen Tronolone, 49, of Altamonte Springs, Fla., and Michael Johnson, 58, also known as Kori Johnson, of Crestview, Fla., were each sentenced to three years of probation and a $1,000 fine.
They each faced a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $2 million fine.
Tronolone and Johnson pleaded guilty in July 2007 to selling the counterfeit items in August 2006 at the Sturgis motorcycle rally.
U.S. District Judge Karen E. Schreier sentenced Tronolone and Johnson.
Also in federal court:
* Moses Runs Against, 24, of Manderson has pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated in March 2007 near Porcupine and causing a crash that injured his 3-year-old passenger.
The child suffered fractured ribs and a punctured lung.
Runs Against faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine when he is sentenced Jan. 9.
* Darwin Carlow Jr., 21, of Pine Ridge has pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of a minor. Carlow admitted to attempting to engage in a sexual act with a child younger than 16 in December. He faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine when he is sentenced Jan. 7.
Carlow also pleaded guilty to larceny for stealing tires and rims from another person's vehicle November in Pine Ridge.
He faces up to one year in prison on that count.
* William Gwaltney, 47, of Commerce City, Colo., pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Gwaltney admitted to conspiring with others to distribute meth throughout South Dakota between 2001 and 2007.
He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of of 20 years in prison, with a possible maximum of life in prison. No sentencing date has been set.
