The Bill and Sandy Beshara family, owners and operators of the Colonial House Restaurant and Bar in Rapid City, have won a statewide award from a University of South Dakota business group.

The Prairie Family Business Association will present the 16th annual Tom Didier Excellence in Family Business Award to the Besharas during a Sept. 21 program in Rapid City.

The award is named for the late owner of the Hotel Alex Johnson in Rapid City.

The Beshara family has operated the Colonial House on Mount Rushmore Road since 1981.

For details on the Sept. 21, "Legacies of Family Enterprise" program, call 782-3225 at the USD Beacom School of Business in Vermillion.
