HOT SPRINGS -- Former Hot Springs High School teacher George Krenz, 31, pleaded guilty Friday afternoon to one count of felony sexual contact with a person under the age of 16 and eight counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor in an agreement worked out with Fall River County State's Attorney Lance Russell.
Krenz is scheduled for sentencing at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 18 by 7th Circuit Judge Jeff Davis.
In exchange for his guilty plea, the state dropped four counts of rape, one of which was an alternate charge.
Krenz faces a maximum sentence of 23 years in prison and $46,000 in fines for the offenses.
