Pat Burchill, president of US Bank, has been named chairman of the Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce's Ellsworth Task Force. Burchill replaces Chris Lien, who has announced his intent to run for South Dakota's seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008.
Burchill has been an active member of the Ellsworth Task Force and assisted the committee as it defended Ellsworth from the 2005 base-closure round, according to a news release. Burchill has volunteered for this new role of leading the community's efforts to retain Ellsworth.
