A Box Elder man who admitted molesting two girls was sentenced to the maximum penalty on two counts of sexual contact, but the sentences will run concurrently.
Ralph Block, who turns 37 this weekend, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual contact with a child younger than 16. He was charged in connection with incidents that happened between 2004 and 2005 and in 2007, involving two middle-school-age girls.
On Tuesday, 7th Circuit Judge Janine Kern sentenced Block to 15 years in prison on each count but ordered the sentences to run concurrent with each other and with any sentence he would receive for violating his parole of drug-distribution charges.
Kern also ordered Block to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and complete drug and alcohol treatment. He must remain under supervision for 15 years, during which time, he must attend sex-offender therapy and have no contact with anyone younger than 18.
Block was originally charged with criminal pedophilia in addition to sexual contact.
