At the recent meeting of the Midcontinent Media Foundation, the Board of Directors approved $67,484 in grants to regional nonprofit organizations.
To date, the foundation has contributed more than $2 million to help groups in Midcontinent's service area.
In South Dakota, grants were approved for:
Rapid City - Autism Society of the Black Hills, $1,160; Black Hills Workshop Foundation, $1,000; Central Baseball Association, $1,000; Chapel in the Hills, $1,000; Clarkson Mountain View Health Care Facility, $1,000; Johnson Siding Fire Department, $2,000; South Dakota Voices for Children, $1,000; Wellspring, $1,000; Western Dakota Tech Foundation, $1,000; Belle Fourche - Belle Fourche Senior Citizens Center, $1,500; Belle Fourche Soccer Association, $1,000; Box Elder - City of Box Elder, $1,000; Deadwood - Adams Museum & House - Homestake Adams Research & Cultural Center, $1,000; Lead - Phoebe Apperson Hearst Library, $1,000; Sturgis - American Legion Post 33 Baseball, $1,000.
