A Rosebud man was convicted Thursday by a federal jury of firing a gun at a moving vehicle with a woman and three children inside.
Adam C. Bordeaux, 21, was convicted of four counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of discharging a firearm
Court documents say the incident took place July 5 in Todd County.
U.S. Attorney Marty Jackley said because an assault on children younger than 18 falls under the Adam Walsh Child Protections and Safety Act of 2006, three of the assault convictions carry mandatory minimum sentences of 10 years in prison. The other charges carry mandatory minimums of 10 years to be served consecutively to any other periods of incarceration.
Jackley said Bordeaux will be sentenced after a presentence investigation, which will be complete in about 90 days.
