RAPID CITY - South Dakota School of Mines & Technology will host the 2007 Rocky Mountain Unconventional Gas Conference on Oct. 10-12.

The conference has been spurred by growth in the exploration and production of unconventional gases in the past decade, according to a news release. New insights, technological advancements and practical innovations that enhance production, reduce costs and mitigate environmental impacts in the development of coal-bed methane, shale gas reservoirs and unconventional shallow gases have fueled the interest in the subject.
