The new Mount Rushmore National Memorial D.A.R.E. vehicle was unveiled today as part of the Independence Day festivities.
Superintendent Gerard Baker said the vehicle will be used in routine patrols and also used in parades throughout the region, representing the national park service and the important message of keeping kids off drugs, alcohol and violence.
Retro Bill, international D.A.R.E. safety buddy, is the kick-off host and co-MC of today's entertainment. He said he is honored to be a part of today's celebration and the unveiling of the new D.A.R.E. vehicle.
"It's so important, that law enforcement can show that they have bling- bling, we are here to show you that we care about you, inspire you and I'm just honored to be a part of that," he said.
