A Rapid City man was indicted this week for allegedly possessing numerous images of child pornography.
Ryan Murphey, 32, is facing 10 counts of possession of child pornography, according to Pennington County Deputy State's Attorney Scott Roetzel.
Murphey was arrested May 22 after investigators raided his house and found numerous images of child pornography, according to information provided by the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation.
Murphey originally was charged with 100 counts of possession of child pornography.
He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine for each of the 10 counts.
Roetzel said a date for Murphey's next court appearance has not yet been scheduled. He remains in Pennington County Jail in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
