RAPID CITY - Wildlife experts, including state Game, Fish & Parks Secretary Jeff Vonk, will discuss mountain lion management during a panel discussion Wednesday evening in Rapid City.

The Prairie Hills Audubon Society is sponsoring the discussion, which begins at 6:30 p.m. in the community room of the City/School Administration Center, downtown at Omaha and Sixth streets. Use the southeast entrance. Refreshments begin at 6 p.m.

Other participants include:

* Trudy Ecoffey, senior wildlife biologist of the Oglala Sioux Tribe.

* John Kanta and Steve Griffin, big-game biologists with Game, Fish & Parks.

* Nancy Hilding of Prairie Hills Audubon Society.

* Dr. Tom Huhnerkoch, a veterinarian with Mountain Cats Trust.

Hilding said there would be an emphasis on mountain lions on South Dakota prairies.

The public is welcom, and a question-and-answer session and group discussion will be part of the program.
