Car crashes into pole

The driver crossed the lanes of southbound traffic and struck a pole. He said the driver was taken to the hospital and that alcohol was not a factor.

Officers responded to a traffic accident in Rapid City around 1 p.m. this afternoon after a car struck a pole. Traffic officer Paul Wathen said the driver of the car was northbound on Mount Rushmore Road. The driver crossed the lanes of southbound traffic, struck a pole and was taken to the hospital.
