Dakota Choral Union, Rapid City's community choir, recently donated $750 to Share South Dakota for the benefit of the South Dakota Army National Guard at Camp Rapid.

This gift is part of contributions given by the 650 people who attended this year's Dakota Choral Union Veterans Day concert. "Freedom Songs," was the theme of this year's DCU musical presentation, which included a special tribute to all branches of the United States Armed Forces and honored all those who protect freedoms.

"DCU is proud to support our local military families," Ken Dewell, president of Dakota Choral Union, said in a prepared statement.
