Lawrence County voters can interview their five state Legislature candidates at a forum Saturday, Oct. 18.
The District 31 House of Representative candidates are Democrat Kevin O'Dea of Spearfish and Republicans Chuck Turbiville of Deadwood and Fred Romkema of Spearfish. The state Senate hopefuls are Democrat Nyla Griffith from Deadwood and Republican Tom Nelson from Lead.
Two representatives and one senator will be elected in the Nov. 4 election; winners serve two-year terms starting in January.
The forum will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Jacket Legacy Room of the Black Hills State University student union.
