A memorial ceremony in honor of Senior Airman Jonathan Yelner is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday, May 8, at Ellsworth Air Force Base.

The ceremony offers airmen an opportunity to mourn, honor and remember Yelner. It will not be open to the general public.

Yelner died April 29 near Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, of wounds from an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 28th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Ellsworth Air Force Base.

Anyone having claims against or indebted to the estate of Yelner should call the summary court officer, Lt. MaryAnne Nguyen at 385-6182, or 619-817-6265.

For more information, contact the 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs at 385-5056 or 28bw.pa@ellsworth.af.mil.
