Callonie Randall, 26, Wanblee, and Robert Whirlwind Horse, 22, Manderson, died Wednesday in an auto-pedestrian accident.
Capt. Kevin Karley of the South Dakota Highway Patrol confirmed the accident happened about 10 p.m. Wednesday night south of Pine Ridge.
A Highway Patrol trooper was sent to the scene, but Karley said BIA and FBI officials were leading the investigation.
Calls to BIA officials were not returned Thursday.
