Suspect in reservation stabbing death dies

A man under investigation for the July stabbing death of a woman at Wanblee is dead.

According to Everett Little Whiteman, chief of the Oglala Sioux Tribe's Department of Public Safety, Joe Red Willow, 30, died at his Wanblee home on Saturday.

Red Willow was under investigation by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in connection with the death of Lisa American Horse, 22, whose body was found in a Wanblee home on July 13.

Little Whiteman would not comment on the status of the investigation.
