School of Mines students select new leaders

South Dakota School of Mines & Technology students recently elected the president and vice president of the Student Association, the university's student government.

Marcus Bartlett of Firesteel was elected president. Bartlett is an industrial engineering major and has previously held the position of association vice president.

Lukasz Dubaj of Warsaw, Poland, was elected vice president. Dubaj is an interdisciplinary sciences major specializing in science, technology and society, and has held a number of positions in the Student Association, including freshman senator, public relations committee, sophomore senator, public relations committee chair.

They will take office July 1.
