Sentencing has been delayed for Rapid City man convicted by a jury in May of two counts of first-degree rape and three counts of criminal pedophilia.

7th Circuit Judge Janine Kern on Monday said a pre-sentence report had not been completed for Farrell Dillon Jr., 49. A new sentencing date is pending.

Dillon was found guilty in a May re-trial, which took place nine years after his original conviction.

He was first convicted in 1999 on five counts of child rape and three counts of criminal pedophilia and sentenced to 175 years in prison.

He was granted a new trial in August 2007 by the South Dakota Supreme Court, which ruled that Dillon's attorney in the first trial was incompetent.
