Some northern Black Hills businesses and homes lost electrical power Sunday from power lines downed by ice and heavy snow the previous few days.

The Spearfish Canyon area, Terry Peak and the areas south of Deadwood and Lead had power interruptions Sunday afternoon.

The problems caused several broadcasting stations to go off the air for a time.

Power had been restored by late Sunday afternoon to many areas south of Lead, including Terry Peak.

Warmer weather in the Northern Hills helped melt the snow on the roads, the power lines and snow-laden branches.
