RAPID CITY - The 18-year-old man arrested for driving under the influence June 5 while helping Rapid City mayoral candidate Tom Johnson put up campaign signs pleaded guilty Wednesday.

Raymond Seviera was arrested about 1:30 a.m. election eay. Seviera was driving Johnson's car at the time. Johnson had not been drinking.

Seviera pleaded guilty before 7th Circuit Magistrate Judge Michael O'Connor to one count of first-offense DUI, one count of possession of alcohol by a minor and one count of driving without a license.

All three counts are misdemeanors. Seviera faces a maximum penalty of one year and 60 days in jail and $3,000 in fines when he is sentenced at a later date.
