Belle Fourche police are investigating the apparent theft of 360 feet of green PVC sewer pipe from the National Street construction project.
The theft was reported to police this week by the contractor, Site Work Specialists of Rapid City.
The pipe was stored behind the Belle Fourche Fire Department.
Construction on National Street runs about three blocks from U.S. Highway 85 east to Eighth Avenue. It includes new sewer and water utilities, a new storm sewer and a replacement bridge for Hay Creek.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call police at 892-4240.
