Members of the ASI-Rapid City safety-leader team will be present to accept the award at the Governor's Safety Awards luncheon today in Sioux Falls. In addition, Rapid City Mayor Alan Hanks has declared Oct. 9 as "ASI Award of Honor Day" for Rapid City.
The award is given annually to a company that demonstrates exceptional accomplishment in reducing injuries and illnesses in the workplace. "Our entire ASI team in Rapid City is very excited to have been selected for this prestigious award," said Carol Bancroft, ASI senior vice president and Rapid City center manager. "It's wonderful to have our safety program and the efforts of our ASI employees and staff recognized by such a distinguished organization."
The ASI team in Rapid City previously earned a Meritorious Achievement Award in 2004 and Outstanding Achievement Awards in 2005 and 2006 from the governor's office in cooperation with the South Dakota Safety Council.
The ASI location in Rapid City is one of three national, inbound call-centers for GE Consumer & Industrial, and employs 360 employees locally.
