A wayward mountain lion again led Rapid City police on a wild goose chase.

Police responded Saturday when they received reports of a lion walking through Robbinsdale Park and across yards.

The cops set up a perimeter around the area but were unable to find the big cat.

Rapid City police were called in late July after a mountain lion was spotted in a residential area.

Officers were advised to kill the animal because of the threat it posed to people, but that cat also escaped.
