Another man has been charged in connection with the November death of a Rapid City woman.

Aaron Jones, 25, has been charged with being an accessory to murder. Prosecutors said he was involved in the Nov. 8 murder of Tamara Magic, who was found beaten and stabbed to death at her home.

Jones faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison if convicted of the charge.

Tracey Decker, deputy state's attorney for Pennington County, said the new charge was filed within the past week but couldn't recall the date. She said prosecutors are not yet releasing details about why they believe Jones is an accessory to murder.

Tad Blackburn, 22, was arrested in November and charged with first-degree murder in Magic's death. He faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole if he is convicted.

Decker said Jones will be subpoenaed to testify at Blackburn's trial, which is set to begin April 21.

Jones' initial court appearance was Tuesday. He remains in custody at Pennington County Jail on a $50,000 cash or surety bond.

Jones' next court appearance will be April 7.
