What does mild-mannered Gov. Mike Rounds have in common with flamboyant rock band KISS?

Both support the military.

Rounds will honor KISS by declaring Monday as KISS Rock 'n Roll Day in South Dakota.

The band, which will perform Monday at the Glencoe Campground near Sturgis, will accept the governor's proclamation backstage. Sturgis Mayor Maury Larue will deliver the message.

KISS has visited military bases around the world.
