HOT SPRINGS - The Southern Hills Rally events in Hot Springs will feature a Fall River Freedom

Ride Poker Run on Sunday, Aug. 3, starting at the state Michael J. Fitzmaurice Veterans Home.

Registration is at 10 a.m., and the ride starts at 11 a.m., with a flag parade and military escort

through town. Poker hands are $15 for the first hand, $10 for the second hand.

The poker run will take riders to Legion Lake in Custer State Park, Elk Haven Horse Camp on Iron

Mountain Road, the Mangy Moose in Hill City, The Hitchrail in Pringle and then back to both the

Hot Springs VFW and Hot Springs American Legion for the final two stops.

"Vets Don't Forget" T-shirts will be on sale. Proceeds from the poker run will benefit the state

veterans home residents.

In addition, this year's Hot Springs rally events also bring back the drag races, which will be held

at 6 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday, Aug. 3-5, at Centennial Park.
