South Dakota National Guard soldiers who returned in October after a year in Iraq are meeting this weekend to express concerns and learn about issues related to reintegrating into home life.
Soldiers from Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion, 147th Field Artillery and their families will attend sessions about mental wellness, family readjustment, insurance, education, employer relations and taxes during the two-day gathering at Cedar Shores Resort in Oacoma.
The gathering is the first weekend drill since soldiers returned to South Dakota, Guard officials said in a news release.
