DEADWOOD - Critically acclaimed pop music artist Mat Kearney will headline this year's Deadwood Jam music festival Sept. 11 and 12. He will be the final performer to take the stage on the festival's final night, Saturday.

Kearney first gained fame for his major label debut "Nothing Left to Lose" and its title track. "Breathe In, Breathe Out," which is off the same album, also got significant air time when it was used in promotions for the fourth season of the ABC series "Grey's Anatomy."

He is currently touring in support of his sophomore album, "City of Black & White."

Other acts also included in this year's Jam lineup include:

  • Rocco DeLuca and The Burden
  • Randy McAllister with the Brandon Sprague Blues Band
  • Violent Hippie
  • Sarah Pierce
  • Savage Henry

According to organizers, more acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the 2009 Deadwood Jam are on now sale at www.deadwoodjam.com or by calling Black Hills Central Reservations at 1-800-344-8826 or 578-7702.
