Minnesota tribe reports sharing $25 million

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community in Minnesota said it has awarded more than $25 million in charitable giving over the past year, including funding for South Dakota tribes.

In its annual donation report, the tribe said they shared gambling and non-gambling revenue with tribes in Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. The total over the past 10 years exceeds $101 million, according to a news release.
