The Hills Parish of South Dakota will host the 63rd annual Easter Sunrise Celebration at Mount Rushmore National Memorial beginning at 7 a.m. Sunday, March 23.

The gathering is free, and there is no parking fee if you arrive before 7:30 a.m.

Special guests helping to lead worship will be Sheltered Reality, featuring 100 drummers. Musicians from Rapid City and a number of other states will appear, and the group will stay after the service to provide entertainment.

Participating in the service will be the Rev. Diane Janssen Hemmen of Hermosa United Church of Christ, who will be the featured speaker, and the Rev. Chuck Landon of Keystone Congregational United Church of Christ.

The program is held outdoors in the amphitheater, and those attending should dress warmly. Transportation from the parking lot to the event will be available for those needing assistance.
