Butte County commissioners Tuesday approved final minor updates for a $4.6 million 2010 budget. Auditor Elaine Jensen said the budget includes roughly a 10 percent anticipated renewal increase on employee health insurance.

"We've projected we're doing a 2 percent raise for all county employees," she said.

For the health insurance, the county will pay 100 percent of single health insurance coverage and 62.5 percent for a family, according to Jensen.

Jensen said the proposed budget includes a general fund of about $3,255,000 to cover the majority of county expenses and a set of highway funds that run about $1,135,000. Jensen said about $1.8 million of the total budget comes from non-tax sources.
