Three World War II veterans, Navajo "code talkers" for the U.S. Marines, will be featured guests at Crazy Horse Memorial on Saturday, July 4.

Arthur J. Hubbard Sr., Joseph Morris Sr., and George B. Willie Sr., will be able to see an 11 a.m. blast removing 2,000 tons from the mountain carving in progress. After the blast, they will be available to greet the public and sign posters in the memorial's visitor center.

The men also will be honored at Mount Rushmore National Memorial on Friday, July 3.

Crazy Horse Memorial, a nonprofit educational and cultural project honoring Native Americans, is on Highway 16/385 between Hill City and Custer.
