SPEARFISH - A Black Hills State University conference room in the newly remodeled David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union has been named in honor of Dr. Clifford and Karen Trump.

Dr. Trump served as the seventh president of BHSU beginning in 1985. The couple donated $35,000 to the university.

"Next year will mark 25 years since Karen and I began our nine-year tenure at Black Hills State University. The University has been an extremely important element in our lives both professionally and personally," Trump said.

Karen was an active volunteer in the community and the university, having served on the Hospital Auxiliary and was a member of the Historic Preservation Board.
