South Dakota Secretary of State Chris Nelson will be in Newell on Monday, Oct. 20, to discuss the assortment of ballot issues facing voters in the Nov. 4 general election.
Nelson will speak at 7 p.m. Monday at the Newell Auditorium. The event is free, and the public is invited. It will include a question-and-answer session, and sample ballots will be available.
Before Nelson's speech, the Newell High School senior class will host a biscuits-and-gravy supper from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
