DEADWOOD - The sentencing date for convicted murderer Shane Bell has been changed to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, in Deadwood.

Fourth Circuit Judge Randall Macy on Thursday had set a sentence hearing for Oct. 13, in Deadwood for Bell, who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the Dec. 20, 2008, shooting death of his girlfriend, Bobbie McClure, in Spearfish.

Bell faces a mandatory life sentence in the South Dakota State Penitentiary with no chance for parole.
