A Belle Fourche woman died from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the intersection of the Old Belle Road and U.S. Highway 85.

According to a South Dakota Highway Patrol news release, a vehicle driven by Lynn Myers, age 55, from Alliance, NE, and her passengers, Jackie Lotker, age 54, and Matthew Lotker, age 21, also from Alliance, NE, were traveling south on the highway down Redwater Hill.

Another vehicle driven by Tyia Rankin, age 65, from Belle Fourche, was traveling east on Old Belle Road just outside the southern city limits of Belle Fourche.

The Rankin vehicle did not yield at the intersection and the two vehicles collided.

All the people involved in the collision were wearing seatbelts.

Meyers and her passengers received minor injuries.

Rankin received serious injuries and was transported to Spearfish Hospital, and was later Life-Flighted to Rapid City Regional Hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.

Alcohol was not involved.
