PIEDMONT - Vic was born on Aug. 15, 1945, to John and Edna (McKee) Wang in Murdo.

Vic was the 8th child of nine children. Vic grew up on the family farm through his teen years. He worked at the Homestake Mine for a time before he was drafted into the U.S. Army in November of 1965 to 1967; he served in the Vietnam War from October 1967 to October 1968. After honorably serving his country Vic returned to SD. He longed to be back on the farm in White River, SD; and returned there. There he met and married Linda on June 30, 1974 and to this union there were four children, Brent, Randy, Victor Wade and Emily. Vic custom hayed and farmed for a short time around the White River area. The family farm was sold in 1978. Vic worked many different occupations after leaving the farm. Installing phone connecting cables in Texas and welding railroad cars in Edgemont, SD. He sold insurance for many years around western SD.

Vic bought lots in Tilford, SD, in 1994. Where he found his dream place, he dug his own water well. He had enough space to hold his family and friends auction bargains, and work on his tractors.

He lived in many places until his death. He loved life and lived every minute. He loved his children and spent as much time as possible with them and his grandchildren. But most of all he loved teaching his granddaughters how to work on their cars.
