Nebraska women’s basketball coach Connie Yori and men’s basketball coach Tim Miles have received contract extensions through 2020.

Marc Boehm, executive associate athletic director at Nebraska who oversees basketball, confirmed the extensions Tuesday.

Miles receives a one-year extension. He originally signed a seven-year deal and had already had that extended by one year, through 2019.

For Yori, the extension is two years.

Yori, the 2013 and 2014 Big Ten coach of the year, has led the Huskers to four consecutive NCAA Tournaments while averaging 24 victories over the past four seasons. She enters her 14th season.

“Connie has built a Top 25 program, and with the success that she and her staff have done over the years, an extension is only justified,” Boehm told the Journal Star. “We’re extremely pleased and happy with the product and the success she’s had over these recent years.”

Miles is 47-49 through three seasons, leading Nebraska to the NCAA Tournament in 2013-14, when he was named Big Ten coach of the year. But the Huskers fell to 13-18 last season.

“Although we didn’t see the results we all wanted on the court for this past year, all indications in so many other areas are that Coach Miles and his staff are on target,” Boehm said, specifically mentioning recruiting.

Boehm declined to say whether Miles or Yori would receive raises, noting that financial terms haven’t been finalized but would be in the near future.

Miles’s salary for the 2014-15 fiscal year was $1,652,646. His original contract had annual raises that would push his annual salary past $2 million beginning in 2017.

Yori’s salary for 2014-15 was $707,000.
