Richard E Carson Sr., age 85, passed away Feb. 9, 2018, at the Chadron Hospital.
Richard was born to George and Bertha Carson in Franklin, Penn., Oct. 19, 1932. Richard was the second oldest in the family out of 10 children.
Richard married Dorothy Campbell in 1952. Richard and Dorothy had four children. They moved to Denver, Colo., in 1962, where they resided most of their lives, and Dick owned and operated his own asphalt company, A.C. Paving. Richard served in the Army from 1948 to 1951. He was a great mechanic and handyman. Later in life, he enjoyed building furniture and doing wood working.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, son Richard Jr., daughter Christine, and grandson Craig II.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol (Terry) of Whitney, and son, Craig (Kristie) of Missouri; seven grandchildren, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
Richard will be laid to rest at the Whitney Cemetery at a later date.
