On behalf of the Pine Ridge Quilt Guild, we would like to acknowledge the following businesses and individuals for their voluntary contributions to the success of the 2017 Chadron Festival of Quilts.
Country Kitchen provided the perfect location for the festival team to meet every month to plan the show. Prairie Pines Lodge hosts the quilt guild for monthly meetings, sew days, and raffle quilt work days.
Great Plains Communications provided WIFI to our vendors and guests. Great Plains Communications also put up the Quilt Festival flags along the highway and Mark Brennan for your part in getting this done.
Anderson’s Clothing, Bank of the West, Bloom, Chadron Chiropractic, Falco, Farmer’s State Bank, First National Bank of Chadron, First National Bank North Platte, H and R Block, Northwest Eye Center, Outlaw Printers, Posh Affair, Re-Threads, Security First Bank, Keith Spencer CPA, Ta-Da! Art Studios, West Second Appliance, and Western View Real Estate all hung quilts in their businesses for two weeks prior to the show to give their customers a “sneak peek” of the festival.
Keith Spencer Accounting stored quilts before and after the show. Jim Puchner of The Business Connection provided discounted printing of the posters, bookmarks and programs. Kristina Harter of The Dawes County Tourism Board designed our poster and bookmark and guided us through the Dawes County Tourism Board’s grant process which enabled us to expand our advertising area.
Arrow Building Center, Common Cents, and The Bunkhouse Motel allowed us to display our sandwich board signs on their properties, directing our out-of-town guests to the show.
Over 130 lucky visitors received door prizes thanks to Anderson’s Clothing, Badlands Quilting, Bent Pine Woodcraft LLC, Betty’s Quiltery LLC, Fabric City/The Sewing Center, Great Plains Communications, HeartSong Quilts, Kalico Kat, Lickety Stitch, Nuts and Bolts, Pat’s Creative, Pine Needle Quilts, Platt Upholstery/Quilter’s Corner, Platte Valley Sac and Sew, Prairie Pines Quilt Shop, Quilt Connection, Etc., The Quilt Rack, The Quilt Shop, Silver Thimble Sewing Center, Stitches Fabrics and Notions, Ta-Da! A big thank you to all the individuals who gave of their time and talents to make this year’s show such a success. There are many volunteers needed to put on a show of this size, from setup to tear down, the list is long and we appreciate every one of you.
