The 2017 Chadron State Park Bioblitz, presented by Bird Conservancy of the Rockies in partnership with Nebraska Game and Parks found a total of 201 species ranging from birds to plant life and everything between.

At least 140 kids, students, and curious individuals worked side by side with natural resource professionals to identify and study wildlife in the park.

Shown in this series of images is the seminar on trapping small mammals for the purpose of studying, recording, and then safely releasing them.
