Two Crawford men were arrested on the suspicion of several drug-related charges Friday after a search warrant was served at a local hotel.

James Brady, 49, and Shane Nedella, 42, were booked into the Dawes County Jail but have both bonded out. Brady posted 10 percent of his $1 million bond, while Nedella posted 10 percent of a $10,000 bond. As of Monday, no formal complaint itemizing the charges against them had been filed with the Dawes County Court. The pair are scheduled to appear in Dawes County Court May 30 at 2 p.m.

The arrests were made after a search warrant at 3591 Highway 20 in Crawford allegedly turned up 10 grams of heroin, a half ounce of cocaine, several grams of hash and hash extraction equipment. The search and arrests were carried out by the WING Task Force, troopers and investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol SWAT and the Dawes County Sheriff’s Office. The Crawford Fire Department was also on scene to render assistance with what is suspected to be a hash extraction tube loaded with pressurized butane.

Nedella has a long list of cases before the county and district courts of Dawes County dating back to 2000. Among the convictions are those for disturbing the peace, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, pets at large, false reporting, open container, failure to use a child passenger restraint, driving under the influence, refusing to submit to a chemical test, driving left of center and attempting a Class III felony.
