Several Chadron High School students who take part in the Interact Club distributed dictionaries to third grade students on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

The Interact Club is sponsored by the Chadron Rotary Club and serves as a vehicle to introduce high school students to community service clubs. Interact club members learn leadership skills conducting club business with the supervision of Rotary Club members, carry out community and international human service projects, as well as provide a positive social outlet for club members.

The Chadron Rotary Club annually provides more than 300 dictionaries to third grade students in the region. Interact assists in the project by helping deliver the dictionaries to the reservation schools, including Batesland, Wolf Creek, Our Lady of Lourdes, Porcupine, Pine Ridge, and Oglala schools. Twenty-one Chadron High School Interact members and sponsors took part in the trip.

Chadron Interact students went to third grade classrooms to introduce themselves, explain the purpose of their visit, and give the elementary students an overview of their new dictionaries.
