The Chadron Sharks Swim Team competed in the 2017 Christmas Classic 

Dec. 8-10 in Rapid City, S.D. There were 238 swimmers from

South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska and Wyoming.

Leading the team in points was Zachery Domoingo, 19, who scored

117. He won the 200 Breaststroke and 500 Freestyle. He placed second in the

100 Butterfly. He placed fourth in the 50 and 100 Free, 100 Backstroke and

Breast.

Leading the women was Raylie Pourier, 10, with 88 points. She was second in

the 500 Free. She also had a fifth place finish in the 200 Free, seventh in the

50 Fly and eighth in the 100 Breast. Awards are given for first through eighth places.

Leila Tewahade, 14, earned 77 points. She placed fifth in the 500 Free, seventh

in the 100 Breast and 200 Back and eighth in the 100 Fly.

Jeremiah Domingo, 10, scored 67 points. He placed sixth in the 50 Free, seventh in the 100 Breast and 50 Fly. Zane Cullers, 10, had 61 points. He

placed sixth in the 50 Back, seventh in the 200 Free and eighth in the 50 Free.

Ruby Tewahade,11, placed sixth in the 100 Fly and eighth in the 100 Breast.

Broedy Jenkins,6, scored 33 points, taking second in the 25 Free and third in

the 25 Back. Aster Tewahade, 7, scored 29 points. She placed fourth in the

25 Breast.

Kenzie Pourier, 11, had 26 points. She placed sixth in the 500 Free.

Kristin Rasmussen, 13, earned 3 points. Also swimming well but outside

the point range were Regan Anderson, Jackson Smith and Skye Tausan.
