In Hot Springs, the Cardinals made quick work of the Bison, winning in three sets 25-11, 25-12, and 25-20. Sophomore Shea Bailey contributed four ace serves and six kills to the winning effort, while teammates Allie Ferguson, Tyleigh Strotheide, and Carstyn Hageman all had five kills. Strotheide’s five kills came on 10 attacks earning her a .500 hit percentage for the match. The sophomore also contributed 21 assists.

Thursday the Cards brought their winning ways home defeating the Scottsbluff Bearcats three sets to none for the second time this season. The sets were scored 25-14, 25-17, and 25-19.

Unfortunately Chadron’s momentum wouldn’t carry into pool play Saturday in Sidney at the Western Conference Tournament. The Cardinals were swept by Mitchell, 25-21 and 25-23, and then again by Gering, 25-15 and 25-20.

A win in two sets over Scottsbluff secured fifth place for Chadron at the Tournament. Sets were scored 25-15 and 25-22.
