Cardinals’ quarterback Coy Bila and five teammates earned all-district honors for their fall season.

Six Chadron High School football players have been placed on the Class C1-6 All-District Team for the 2017 season. Two more Cardinals received honorable mention.

Since the Cardinals, who finished with an 8-2 record, won the district championship, they had the most selections for the all-district honors.

The Red Birds’ first-team choices are seniors Coy Bila, Jeff Cerny, Drew Jersild, Brayden Richardson and Logan Tiensvold and junior Clark Riesen. The honorable mention choices are senior Zayne Jones and junior Dan Dunbar.

The honorees from the other district teams are:

Gordon-Rushville—Seniors Trace Beguin, Korby Campbell, Zane Hamilton and Jared Nelson and junior Damian Holeman. HM—Seniors Cade Fisher and Morgan Hurlburt.

Mitchell: Seniors—Drake Gilliland and Riley Reisig, junior Ian Carrier and sophomore Blake Thyne. HM—Seniors Dylan Lower and Justin Spencer.
