A pair of 93s shot during the D5 District golf meet at Legend Buttes Golf Course in Crawford on Monday have qualified Crawford’s Nic Presson and Trevor Morava for the State golf championship May 22, and 23, at Lake Maloney Golf Course, in North Platte.
The two Crawford seniors finished the meet in a four-way tie with Morrill’s Hunter Craig, and Garden County’s Conner McCord.
Mullen’s Koby Walker finished his round tied with Paxton’s Jeremy McMillan-Peters, but a playoff hole settled the individual title in favor Walker.
Three D5 groups left the meet having qualified for State as team. They were Paxton, who shot a combined 365; Garden County with a combined 379; and Dundy County-Stratton with 398.
As a team, Crawford shot 416 good for sixth place overall in team scoring.
The State Championship meet will take place in North Platte at Lake Maloney Golf Course with the first 18 holes to be played Tuesday, May 22, and the final 18 played Wednesday May, 23.
The meet will be the first time Crawford golfers have competed at State since the team qualified in 2015.
