DIY Contest Back

It’s time to enter The Chadron Record’s award-winning Residential Revivals contest.

Back for its second year, Residential Revivals is a do-it-yourself contest for our readers, open to DIY projects of all types and sizes. Last year’s winner, Heather Crofutt, won with her story about transforming her yard with a vivid palette of color. The 2016 entries ranged from smaller landscaping projects to an all-inclusive renovation. One reader built a gazebo, another a table and a third a fire pit using re-purposed tire rims.

So whether you’re an experienced do-it-yourselfer or a first-timer, share your story with us and our readers for a chance to win a new grill just in time for those summer barbecues.

The project can be big or small, indoors or outdoors, a perfect result or … maybe a not so perfect one. All that matters is creativity and effort.

The contest is open to anyone and is free to enter. All you have to do is write it up, add a few pictures and drop your entry off at 248 West Second Street or email it to kerri.rempp@lee.net. Entries can also be mailed to PO Box 1084, Chadron, Neb., 69337. All entries must be received by June 8.

The stories and photos will be published in the print edition of the Record June 14 and will also appear online at www.thechadronnews.com. Our readers will then have the opportunity to vote for their favorite DIY project, and the reader-selected winner will receive a grill courtesy of the Record. The winner will be announced June 28.
